Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG)

Client: Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG)

Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG) has chosen ALMEX GmbH’s system of mobile ticket vending machines as part of a Europe-wide tender.

The new machines are primarily characterized by a redundant printing system, which increases operational availability for Rostocker Straßenbahn AG. The brilliant display, flexible mounting options, and low service effort are also convincing advantages.

The new mobile.cashless ticket vending machine supports all common contactless, cashless payment methods, also known as Terminal without PIN Pad (TOPP).

With TOPP, payments are made quickly and easily contactlessly, without entering a PIN. In short, hold the card or smartphone in front of the integrated card reader, and the ticket is issued.

Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG) has chosen ALMEX GmbH’s system of mobile ticket vending machines as part of a Europe-wide tender.

In addition to the delivery of hardware and software solutions, the project also includes the dismantling of old devices and the installation of the new mobile ticket vending machines.

The roll-out of a total of 135 mobile, purely cashless ticket vending machines of the latest mobile.cashless generation will begin in the second half of 2022.

They will be used in buses, trams, and on a ferry.

“We at RSAG are looking forward to the new mobile ticket machines,” emphasizes RSAG Marketing and Sales Manager Sven Haase. “Especially in buses, there were always problems with coin payments due to vibrations, and our customers complained about the lack of cashless payment options.

We are all the more pleased that this investment has become part of our major MIRROR project, which was selected by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) alongside 11 others out of 160 projects.”
